Privacy & test notes

My Callouts is the working name for an Android app for saved rooms and live voice. The current installer appears as Voice Preview Beta on your phone. These notes explain this test build.

Your account and rooms

Google Firebase handles sign-in and stores your account details and room memberships. Room names, invite codes, and membership records are stored online so your rooms remain available when you sign back in. A room’s members can access that room; keep its invite code within your group. The display name on your account appears to other people in a call.

Microphone and calls

LiveKit carries live audio. The app asks for microphone access when you join voice, starts muted, and shows an ongoing call notification. This build does not intentionally record or save call audio. Media is encrypted in transit; end-to-end encryption is not enabled in this preview. Microphone and audio preferences are stored on your phone.

The download page and voice service

Cloudflare hosts this download page and delivers the installer from its existing storage on OpenAI Sites infrastructure. The voice access service also runs on Sites. It checks your Firebase account and room membership before issuing a short-lived call token. Temporary request counters help limit abuse; IP addresses are hashed for those counters and expired counters are removed. Hosting providers may also keep operational logs. This download page does not ask for your account password or use advertising trackers.

Leaving, support, and deletion

Leaving a call keeps your room saved. Members can leave a saved room in the app; room owners cannot yet delete their rooms. Account deletion is not available inside this early build. For deletion requests, bugs, or questions, contact the person who invited you to test. A public support channel and in-app deletion controls are still to come.

What is still being tested

Two-person audio quality, background calling, Bluetooth routing, and behavior across phone brands need further testing. This release is intended for a small group of testers. Availability can change while it is being developed. The download page will carry future builds; automatic app updates are not included yet. iPhone downloads are not available.
